Engineering Geophysics for Highway Infrastructure Projects

Course Description: This one-day course provides engineers and professionals involved in highway infrastructure development with the skills to map underground utilities, identify geological hazards, and optimize the design and construction of roads, bridges, and related transportation projects. Participants will learn how to apply geophysical techniques such as seismic reflection, electrical resistivity tomography, and ground-penetrating radar to address challenges in highway engineering. The course concludes with a session on selecting the most appropriate geophysical tools for highway projects and integrating geophysical data into engineering designs.
