Engineering Geophysics for Geohazard Assessment
Course Description: This one-day course equips participants with the tools and techniques to identify, analyze, and mitigate geohazards such as landslides, sinkholes, and other natural threats. Participants will learn how to apply geophysical methods, including seismic reflection, electrical resistivity tomography, and ground-penetrating radar, to assess geohazards and ensure the safety and resilience of engineering projects. The course concludes with a session on selecting the most appropriate geophysical tools for geohazard assessment and integrating geophysical data into risk management strategies.
